Janice Tayler
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Janice now resides in Montreal. In 2004,
she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from Concordia
University on Montreal. Since that time Janice works full time in her studio,
painting and teaching.
She has been represented by various galleries in Toronto and Montreal.
She has had group and solo shows in Montreal, Toronto, New York
and Winnipeg. For the 4th year in a row Janice presented her work at the
Toronto Outdoor Art Show.
Janice has also done lectures on art in Toronto and Montreal. Her paintings are
colourful dynamic landscapes of the imagination‚ abstract organic shapes that
manage to tap into a primordial memory. The viewer can feel but not necessarily
recognize what is in front of them.
