Born in Chicoutimi, she moved to Montreal with her family at the age of one and stayed there until she was an adult. She then moved to the United States for a few years, only to come back to Montreal in 1999 where she still resides.
Doris Savard has accumulated over 20 years of experience in painting and has been focusing on her art on a full time basis since her return to Quebec. After having studied fine arts in various private institutions, she decides to attend Bishop’s University. There she meets professor Seymour Segal, an internationally renowned artist who help trigger a radical evolution in her approach to painting. She quickly adopts a new style, transforming every brush-stroke into a free, spontaneous and energetic expression of colour emerging from within. Since her professional debut on the art market, the publics response has been more then enthusiastic. She had many solo exhibitions in various galleries and her art is collected throughout the world. One of her painting was chosen for a group exhibition at the "Carrousel du Musée du Louvre2 in Paris in 2007.
