Charlotte Hegler: Statement

The little town of Brantford, Ontario is where this self-taught, creative and talented artist's life began.  Spending summers with her great-grandma Armstrong, Charlotte learned at an early age how to see the beauty in the little things ... and the beauty in All things ... especially when it came to nature and outdoor pursuits.

With those early experiences deeply ingrained into her being, Charlotte left Ontario to explore the wonderment of one of her greatest soon-to-be artistic inspirations, and moved to the spectacular Rocky Mountains.  This provided her with an essential grounding and intense inner peace, which blossomed to become a significant building block of Charlotte's creativity.  With this as a foundation, Charlotte also continued to explore her creativity and build on existing experiences through her passions for cycling, skiing, and mountaineering.  These were just some of the 'little things' that her grandmother showed her so many years before!

A few short years after moving to her new landscape of mountain life, Charlotte began to paint in Acrylics.  Through the  intensities and freshness of the full spectrum of natural color, the inherent originality of each brushstroke began to offer dramatic uniqueness to the surface of her paintings.  This distinctiveness continues to exist and evolve into the passionate accomplishments of Charlotte's work today.

The most satisfying part of the artistry experience for Charlotte has to be the ability to touch others and know that people can find their own definition of beauty in the various mediums of her efforts.  Charlotte truly appreciates the fact that she is able to invoke the passions of others through the individuality of each piece.

Charlotte has recently fulfilled her long-sought dream, and now paints fulltime in her studio. She enjoys the balance between time spent with her partner and the unceasing exploration and experimentation that her ever-evolving passion for ART awards her.
